About eCatalog

big catalog for shopping

The eCatalog is a new tool that will make it easier for educators to access OCSAE (Office of Curriculum Standards and Academic Engagement) professional development offerings which now include online learning opportunities through the Virtual Campus.

eCatalog is a one stop shop for all OSCAE professional learning opportunities. Users can browse through current offerings, check out pertinent news, and register for workshops all in one site. With a managed calendar and embedded course listing tools, users will find the information posted very current.

The eCatalog works part in parcel with the Virtual Campus but it’s not just for online offerings! You can use the eCatalog as your one stop shop for all professional learning opportunities. Browse offerings, register, and attend.

Features of the OCSAE eCatalog

  • Embedded real-time searches: When you click on any of the pre-defined searches above, the search is performed right then in real time. This means that as soon as a course is approved, it appears on this catalog. This eliminates the manual publishing step and cuts down the time it takes to get the word out to you of new opportunities.
  • Enhanced calendaring support: The calendar functions are all interconnected to a new main OSCAE calendar that is populated automatically when a workshop is approved. Another time saver and finally a full featured calendar that accurately reflects all opportunities.
  • News and advertising capabilities: The front page contains news articles with relevant events and special announcements. Additionally, there will be articles to highlight featured professional learning opportunities that will give users a sense of what’s new and exciting.
  • RSS: Everything is RSSable. The news, articles, pd announcments, upcoming events calendar — all have an RSS feed that can be subscribed to. Be informed quicker, in the mode you prefer and decide upon with the flexibility of RSS.
  • Mobility: Have an iPhone? a Blackberry? Any internet enabled phone will be able to access this website thanks to our mobile friendly platform which will resize and fine tune the site to look good on your mobile browser.
